My first vehicle was a.....
« on: December 14, 2014, 08:24:45 AM »

Attention ZORum Members- the pictures posted are not the actual cars I owned. They are pictures I harvested from Al Gore's computer network.

A friend Don was 18 and I was 15 so we went in together on 1953 chevy truck. I remember it cost us $250 and constantly overheated. I don't remember what happened to it. It did not look this nice and was drab green.

My first car that I owned and drove was a 1965 VW Square back. Never should have got did of it.

Second car was a 122S Volvo. This was the car I had when I met Deb.

Doing this from memory is going to take awhile. This was my fourth car and it was a fun little car.

It broke because I had a drinking problem !!.....................................(named Rick) the truck cost $300 and I sold it for $500 to pay the fine to bail you out after you knocked down all the street signs in Camp Verde.

You do know this thread is going to date every one of us don't you? My first car that ran was a '65 El Camino followed by a '67 Pontiac Ventura my parents bought new. I'll have to do some more thinking on what I've had but I will say great minds think a like though. I had a '73 RX3 as well, 2dr, orange, and a hell of a fun car. In fact I've been looking for another one.

Heck, a50 Plymouth made a Rambler look good. Flat head 6 , painted black with a brush , positive ground , wheel BOLTS L & RT hand , leaky head gasket . Told my brother in law (who I lived with and picked this car ) and he said to just keep an eye on the water in the radiator. You know the rest. I was 15 and this was not a good first car experience.

Some of you guys said what your first car was but this thread is about all the cars you can remember owning. Try to keep them in order, lol.

We can expand this to cars you drove for awhile just to see what some of us had. I am going to try and find a Fairbanks Morse Scale Truck. Deb and I drove around in that all in time in Bakersfield.

Ok, I can play more. Not sure if I'm going to remember all of them though.

These were gifted to me by family and family friends well before I got my license. In no particular order, '41 Packard 120, a '51 chevy, two '52 chevy's, 2dr and 4dr, a '42 chevy 2dr delivery couple, a '48 chevy 4dr. And an old Merc, and a hearse from the local farmer. Never got a chance to do anything with them due to me being so young. Then I guess it's a '69 Impala 4dr, a '65 El Camino, some sort of a Datsun car, a 73 RX3, the '67 Pontiac Ventura, a Datsun 620 PU, '85 chev PU short bed low rider, a '78 chev lifted 4X4 short bed, some where in there a '53 Jeep PU, a Johnny Cash Cadillac of sorts, it had so many parts on it I have no idea on the year but the title said '46, a '42 MB, a '53? M38A1, the first Zuk, a '86 POS sold for the "88 I have now, a mid '90's Pontiac Grand Prix the first ex and I had, a '95 jeep grand Cherokee the last ex and I had, a '04 Dodge Cummins 4x4 DRW QC which I traded for a new special order '06 Dodge Cummins 4x4 DRW QC 4x4 because it was cheaper and easier to do the trade than refinance the '04 and my '95 kick 4dr DD. And I don't feel like listing all the parts cars I've had/still have.

That what ya looking for MY?
