A) Mark the hinge clip top with a marker
B) Secure in good vise
C) Cut off upper part ONLY leaving middle and bottom pivots
D) Pound door hinge off clip hinge
E) Mark pin to be cut .100" shorter than door hinge
F) Cut pin

One thing I would do a little different is keep the bottom hinge pin a tad bit longer to help index the door hinges easier so you don't have to fight aligning both pins at the same time. I did this when I did mine, I also hogged the hinge pin hole out a little as well as chamfering  the bottom opening a tad to help insertion of the pin. Also kinda rounded the cut part of the pin.

We are experiencing great fitment with the latches from first batch customers. Success! Here are some pictures and tips for adjusting to your Samurai.

A) After finish/paint pound in the smugglers caps.
Aa) Soft hammer is best.
B) If strike plate touches the Samurai jamb hook, a Soft Hammer works well to clearance.
C) If gap to strike plate needs closing a Soft hammer works best.
D) if adjustment of latch block and jamb hook have been reached, a slight deepening of the hole may help latch insert in hook.
E) Adjustment of latch block bolts, once you like your set up, redo it with locktite.
F) Adjustment of jamb hook uses a #2 phillips.

G) depending on your door sanding of the latch tip on one or two surfaces may be needed. Do not sand below the highest point of the aluminum latch block.
