Ok so Kermit has been on a few wheelin trips since he's been down here and they have been great trips!!

The second trip did a number on Kermit...well not the trail or an obstacle but a little stupid rock in the middle of the trail!

Here's a few pics from Smasher...

And here's a few from the night run at Table Mesa....

And here is the damage from the the end of that night run....

And the results of trying to get around that Boulder...

Sheared off hub bolts

Driver side front axel sheared off!

Passenger side front axel also broke!

Both birfield rings scraped up.

I didn't dive into the rear axel at all yet but I'm hoping that my "locker" (welded diff) broke and not the axels.

Sorry Nag I don't check the forums much any more.If you mean all the scratches on the Birfield Ring.....I don't know ever since I put those rings on even after clearencing the housing it still somehow managed to generate scratches.

I now have a full Knuckle rebuild kit and some Chromo shafts going in, so it will all be addressed soon!

Scored a used Shrockworks gas tank skid today from a local guy that could no longer use for a smoking deal! It needs some cleaning and some personalization before it goes on, but I couldn’t pass up the deal!

So I got a good start today. Got the shock hoop cut off and cleaned up, cleaned up the frame, got all the parts cleaned and painted, and new upper shock mounts made.

So movin right along! Driver side went WAY faster than the passenger side!!!

So the front axle just need oil and it’s DONE!! So now I need to tear into the rear axle and see what the damage in there is, also apparently I need to reseal the tcase because it’s leaking.

Ok so I need to update this...

Upgraded the front lights from generic lights to actual Rigid ones.

Also got invited to a local clubs kick off party where the Metal Cloak’s CTI trailer was available for testing.

More current last Monday I was able to finally take the rear axle apart and get the other third member in. Looks like the “locker” aka welded diff is all that failed so I will rebuild that one later with an actual locker.

So I still need to fill the rear axel and bleed the brakes.

And final update is last night I came home to the Twin Sticks I won in the monthly giveaway!!!

So like stated above I need to reseal the tcase so this is kind of perfect timing.

So today was Twin Stick day! Overall it went pretty easy. These things have super tight tolerances, I had to change out the O ring for a slightly smaller one and then still had to use blunt force to get it into the tcase housing. Also had to clearance the shifter tunnel to get them to drop all the way in.

On to the pics!

Center detent ball removed

And some pics of the sticks installed

And while I was working on the twin sticks the postman delivered this!

Now it’s down to fluids, and a little more research on the Subaru master cylinder.
