Zuki camping trailer
« on: December 10, 2015, 08:54:02 AM »

This will probably be quite a slow build, it's a bit of a side project being made out of leftovers, I had a LWB chassis with no V5 (title) that can't go back on the road and a very rusty lwb body.

chop chop

Then I cut notches out of the inside of the chassis rails to bend them in to form the front triangle, used a length of tube as a guide to square the it all up and then welded it up.

Threw some old lift springs and a complete axle under it just to move it around, it sits too high so I plan to use some standard rear springs with a leaf or two removed and I will make an axle for it using sammy front hubs.

cut the tub down and on it goes.

Should be picking up the rear end off a swb samurai and another Bhoop this weekend, I have also sourced another fibreglass hardtop to cut down to close the front in.

I love that.  I picked up something similar but not quite as useful off my local classifieds.  Little rusty, but for $100 I'm game.

It is the back bed of a tracker. I'm going to give it matching tires and wheels in an overland style setup.  Mostly I just needed a small something for camping gear and bikes. No space in the tracker when I have my three boys with me.

I kind of want to build one out of a 4 door or tin top now after seeing yours.
