My bad, no duct tape
« on: November 27, 2016, 01:28:01 AM »

On our first real off road adventure with our, new to us, Zuki we had a throttle cable break, (aka shred), at the peddle.

Because it was our first real outing we did not have spare parts or many tools.

Also NO DUCT TAPE. An Alaskan with no duct tape. I almost lost my Alaska Man Card! Could have fixed it with duct tape.

We pulled the inner cable out, re-inserted it backwards and used two screws and the vice grips, that were being used as the driver window crank, to secure the broke end of the cable to the throttle thing, (sorry, can't think of what its called).

Worked the rest of the week without a problem.

Next thing we learned. Weber Carbs don't like to go up steep hills. MY-SIDE ordered!
