ZOR Snatch and brake lines.........
« on: October 03, 2017, 03:27:35 PM »

Guys,
I have installed the ZOR Snatch into my Samurai. On the passenger side, the solid mount part that bolts hard to the frame.......is there ANY movement to it
[ just that one mounting bracket in particular ] when driving / crawling? I'm thinking not as it is mounted solidly to the frame with two big bolts, but, still wanna ask.

The reason I ask is........ I relocated the hard brake lines somewhat, they stick up proud of the top of the frame rail by 1" and they touch the Snatch mount that I'm talking about in a small area.  If there is no movement of the mount, all is good. Obviously, rubbing / moving on the brake lines would be bad....... Removing the Snatch to better secure the brake lines is something I wanna avoid doing.

 Thanks.

I guess I'll be too old to drive before the verdict comes in!

Or, maybe no one has seen a snatch before.....   :-)))

I didn't have to move any brake lines when I did mine.. I'd imagine, where you are talking about will see no movement unless the frame is flexing

The Samurai hard lines  changed from the early years to the later years. Assuming you have a fuel injected model the brake lines actually moved away from the frame almost 3/&. Its simple enough but the securing mount should be removed so the brake lines can pushed towards the frame more. Some people opt to just thin down that tab closest to the engine.
