Dale from California recently informed me that he achieved a 10% increase in rpm pulling up his test hill by opening up the secondary hole on the Suzuki intake manifold with a Dremel tool. This is best accomplished with the intake off so that no chips get in the engine.

Dale called today and said that he found a significant intake leak (he missed capping of an intake port) He went up his test hill at 3800 rpm and 55 mph. He is very happy with the results of porting out the intake on his 1.6 where the secondary tube from the air ram plate bolts down. He ended up with over a 20% rpm and 40% speed increase going up the hill. I will be adding to the instructions that every one should open up the hole in the intake manifold a bit more.

Not a very clear post. This is for the MY-FI air ram tubes matching to the intake hole sizes. Not stock carbs.
