Picked up some mirror brackets from a CJ at the scrap yard for a buck. Thought it might be a fun side project to give Zukie beefier mirrors that are also not on the doors. But they are ruuuuusty. Put on some pb blaster to get those bolts off... or I might just cut them. Not like they will be reused.

Nothing fancy, but considering the night/day difference in Zukie's steering, it feels kinda fancy, lol. Old Man Emu Steering Stabilizer installed, also known right now as the 'banana', lol.

I'm sorry that my build and my ability to use it has been boring. I wish I had a bit more to say or to share or charisma to keep this thread alive.

Today was my one month anniversary of being able to drive Zukie alone and without a panic attack. It's a pretty big accomplishment for me, I havent since I lost the JK in March of 2017, even though I've been working on her since then as well. I just couldn't do it. Both drive and drive manual. I've been embarassed to admit it, but yeah.  loser
Not sure if anyone even reads these... but I just thought I would share.
My build has been a little stalled since my gofundme also did, as well as because of a bunch of break/fixes that MY has been ever vigilant of my messages to help me, which sadly some more are about to come my way. But, if things turn around, I might be able to make one Sammie or 4x4 event this year. It's the small dream I have for my little 4x4 which also happens to be our only vehicle, but if not this year, perhaps next. I also have not been out of the house or property line much since the begining of my treatment because of heavy anxiety around large groups of people, but this has started to fade and I really just want to be myself again.
If you are reading, thanks for staying with me, even though this is all boring as dog shit. I might be taking a break from the internet and social media for a while, I haven't fully decided, but some things haven't been healthy for my recovery. But, I promise I wont just disappear, I'll give a heads up.
Anyways, thanks for reading, and best wishes to ya.

Craigslist sale was a success! Watch now as I magically turn a sewing machine into all around OME Nitrocharger shocks! Yes, it was that good of a machine. :p

I am still sore today from installing all four OME shocks, heh. Going from original shocks to these is like night and day, lol. The rear ones were a bitch to install, I scratched them a little bit, but they're in there. Next will be replacing the shackles and bushings on the leaf springs, bushings courtesy of ZOR, so I can get new, larger tires. If I had another sewing machine, I could have probably also replaced the stock leaf springs, heh. But, that will be for another day. :)

Yes, so much better. Definitly very noticeable, both offroad and onroad. Mega happy with this replacement. Thanks for the encouragement!

That's nice. I bet it put a big smile on your face. Who woulda thought that sewing machine could do that for you.😎😎

It’s a surger not a sewing machine. There is a difference.

Ask me how I know...

Sales, store credit, and some donations came through. Leaf springs and their accoutrements are here! MY is sending me the bushings and then project pass inspection is almost complete! :D Then maybe on to like some fun stuff, finally. Though, the radiator is threatening to change that... Really wanted to powder coat the original steel wheels, not replace the radiator for the third time :(
