16v heater/cooling question
« on: October 27, 2018, 10:05:26 AM »

From what i can tell the Suzuki 16v 1.6 & 1.3 both have constant flow through the heater core.  However the samurai shuts flow off to the heater core, so there is no coolant circulating before the thermostat opens.

Do people just hook the heater core to the samurai like stock?  No issues with the lack of flow during warm up?

Yup, no issues... Need to pay attention to the radiator cap though. The 16V's run at 13-16psi. I did a lot of research on this when I went through over heat issues with my 2000 swift G13BB SOHC swap. the heads aren't very forgiving. good news you can buy new bare heads for under 400 plus shipping.
