Looking everywhere for a hardtop
« on: December 26, 2018, 10:41:36 AM »

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some recomendations on where to either find a used or new hardtop for my Zukie. Craigslist has been a failure :( Thanks in advance!

Buy new. Used ones cost as much or more. Sold mine over ten years ago for around $800. Kind wish I still had it but the thing didnít play very well with the roll cage.

What PHLOOP said. They're expensive and equally expensive to ship. Rally Tops is one and I don't remember for sure but I think another was Car Tops or something like that. I have the 2 piece Rally Top on my Samurai and I really like it. We built the roll cage so it just fits. Nice in the winter for assisting the heater. I chose the 2 piece because I read of issues with the 1 piece developing cracks in the roofline where the top goes down behind the front seats. Also, with the 2 piece you can just pop the front piece off, leave the back on and cruise on warm days with the roof above the front seats completely open like a big sun roof. Pretty cool.

I know where there is one that was cut off of a TT if u wanna try to make your own. I can go by & talk to the guy if you want. It would prob be a PITA but could be fun and look pretty cool if done right.

Buy new! I am a RalleyTop dealer. They are made one off on each order so they can take weeks to a month longer than expected two week build time. Still I am the same way so we just do like Ralley Top and do what we can everyday.

I have seen very few great deals on used. I have seen people spend more on used than a new, we talk more about it later.
