Odd Vibrations
« on: January 06, 2019, 09:34:53 AM »

Hey everyone. As pothole season has arrived, I have noticed an odd vibration/shimmying of Zukie if only one side/tire hits a bump. She'll stay stable otherwise. Any idea what this is? I've checked and refilled the tires, as well as tightened all the lug nuts yesterday, so I will see if that did anything, but I just wanted to check. Thanks in advance, if it's something serious, I wanted to fix it fast.

Lug nut tightening did seem to help a good deal, but it still shimmies shortly after a single side 'bump'. Any ideas?

Yes, all is felt pretty heavily through the steering wheel. Zukie isn't lifted (yet), but she is on 215/70R15 tires.

Balance tires,  tie rod ends, correct toe, king pins tight? All these factor into front end wobbles shakes and shimmies.
