OIL CAP LEAK FIX
« on: October 24, 2019, 09:06:07 PM »

Well, its sometimes hard to get things here in the Philippines, especially Palawan. So my 1.3L oil filler cap was leaking. I tried to find one..........hahahahah.........SORRY SIR NO STOCK. So we tried turning it over.......and it still leaked.........I cut up an old rubber bike tube and it worked for awhile. There are 2 types of oil caps..........one is screw on and the other is twist on with 2 metal tabs. I have the twist on with the 2 metal tabs. So I ditched the old leaking gasket, filled it up with my favorite color of RTV.......let it sit all night and put it back on. Works great. Take care.
