Hi Amp Alternator
« on: March 23, 2020, 04:21:34 PM »

I have been researching options for hi output alternator for a couple of weeks. I just found a website that offers rebuilt 90 and 120 hi output Samurai alternators in the stock case for a reasonable price.

powerqualityauto.com

Has anyone purchased from them?

I, thankfully, have a local alternator/starter shop that has been in business for two generations.  He has piles and piles of just about any alternator or starter you could want.  I let him know what I wanted and he fixed me up, including a larger pulley to slow the RPMs.  If I remember correctly, he charged me $60.  I've been running it a couple years now.

Sorry for the late reply. I have had my head buried in the '88 trying to finish up all the other fixes and upgrades. Still going back and forth between getting a rebuild hi-amp suzuki or going with the GM kit.
