Title: New Member with a question
Post by: GADzooks on Sep 07, 2023, 03:11 PM
Hi, I'm new to this site and just getting started with some projects on my '88 tintop.
I am starting with some "stow and go" town and country seats. Have a problem after removing all of the extra mechanism under the seat. I can't get the slide lever to engage and hold the seat in place. Any one know what might be going on? Seats are 2nd row from a 2011 T & C.

Question resolved.  After a careful look at the slide mechanism I found a spring-loaded catch that had to be released. All is good.

Hey there Gad, how are you liking the T&C seats? Was it worth the upgrade?

Well, the seats mounted up pretty easily. I don't think the door side arm rests will work though. A bit tight on the door. I haven't really tested the ride yet. They do sit up higher than the stock seats, which I like. I'm only 5' 8,
so the visibility is better. I just installed OME springs and PetroWorks shackles. When the weather warms up (currently below zero) I'm going to do a complete re-paint. May not get it on the trails 'til late spring.

Nice, mine has the stock seats in it still, trying to get an idea of what I want to with the seats. not sure I would like sitting up higher (only 5'9" but like sitting low). Did you use the brackets from Zuks offroad or do your own thing?

I did use the Zuks brackets. Pretty simple construction. I would have made them myself but my metal stock was left back in CA. when I moved to CO.
