Saw the video on youtube and had to come make an account!
Thanks for pushing a revival Myron. I hate FB too.
Been in the zuk game for about 7 years, started with (and currently still) aircooled VWs. Got into the fourwheeling scene from rail buggies and have been lucky enough to wheel jeeps/zuks all over this awesome country.
I got my first samurai in lieu of an expensive sxs for farm work. Have since been collecting/tuning/building.
Current zuks are:
88 Softop
SPUA, YJs, Toyotas, 1.6, My-side 2, 4.7:1 tcase gearing.
Rusty and crusty but trusty. Built for Ohio rocks and mud. Below is a pic in pritchett canyon, moab utah
87 tintop "Farm Rig"
Bought this thing SPOA on 34s setup for mud bogging.
It is now SPUA, welded rearend, 6.5:1 tcase gearing, My-side1, 1.6 8V
We use it for building fence, feeding cows, collecting maple sap for syrup
87 Tintop "daily"
the most recent project
bought it out of VA, practically rust free compared to ohio
it was lifted (SPOA) on mag wheels, I put it back to stock and found the spokes.
1.3, toy 3k carb, stock drivetrain
