Got it in a trade August 2022. Got it running February 2023 and fell in love with samurai. Drove it all summer until it started losing compression and the key way on the crank wore out. Now I'm in the process of doing a 1.6 16v swap. I'm slowly buying all the things I need for the swap and I'm also modifying the 16v harness my self to save some money. I'm hoping to have it running before May.

Just some advice on the 16 valve and saving money ...don't do it . Go 8v or step up to a 2.0
To many heat problems with a 16 valve and finding a good block,head ,crank is getting impossible to do.
It's cheaper for me to do the 16v swap since I got an entire running donor for pretty cheap. If it blows up in the future I'll just rebuild the 1.3. In the mean time I'll just keep looking for cheap 16v engines since the samurai will already be set up for it
