Got Questions? / MY-TURBO ZUK
Last post by MonksZuk - Aug 05, 2024, 01:05 PM
So to start off I'm in Los Angeles California my zuk has the MY turbo kit on it and it seems to be running fine for the most part . I just have some questions about it. For examples what psi should my regulator be at? What main jet should I start with for tuning and wat should my afr read under idle, half throttle n full throttle. What is considered rich, lean .also not sure if I'm running out of gear or fuel once I'm at around 55mph and have the throttle fully open the car seems to fall flat and bogs down fully cutting out then picks back up then repeats that cycle. Also is there any carburetor mods I should do... I have heard of people drilling out the emulsion tube... whatever that does.. .. any helps greatly appreciated just trying to get this mystery zuk back on the road.

Hello all! New to the Suzuki samurai world. Made my very first purchase of a samurai last week as I wanted to get into the off-road hobby.  As I'm completely new to this scene I really have no idea  what this thing has buy as I've been doing my research it's got quite a few Zuks off road parts. got the zor crab did armor shields, zor MY turbo kit. Still tryna write a list of wat else is on it as the previous owner got it from his father in law and had little info on wat he actually put into so the mystery shall continue... but not for long. Thanks for the add and hope to make plenty of buddies on here.

Hi there, I'm new to the site. I just acquired an 87 zuk that has been built and it keeps popping out of 4 wheel drive. Not sure what is causing it. It has twin sticks. Any help would be great.

Hello all and thank you for allowing me to join your board. Where to start? +/-15 years ago the wife came home and said she saw a "cute" little car for sale down the street.  Being she was currently driving our Expedition she wanted something smaller. A few minutes and $1500.00 later was driving home a 89' Sidekick JX, bone stock no thrills.

The temps (Arizona) stated getting hot and she grew tired of it.  Sat around for another year or so, tried thinking of who in the family we might offer it to and get some use out of it. Nothing ever came to be.  Instead of just letting die a slow death we decided to take it to our vacation home in Mexico.  Gave it a serious once over and came back in remarkably good shape still. Then took it in and had the suspension done, with new wheels. From then until just the past few months it's has stayed in Mexico.  With all the other off-road toys we have we keep coming back to this one as our favorite.  So now we're looking to start going through it and repairing up grading.

The only problem Dinky gave us was the radiator. Tried swapping it out but what a nightmare.  Why it's so difficult I have no idea.  Ended up welding the concern spots but would still like to replace it at some time. Anyway, hope to bring you guys along for the ride.

Got Questions? / Re: smog compliant carb for Co...
Last post by Maxbro - May 23, 2024, 07:18 AM
Thanks for posting that video, BFF!  It cleared up many confusing posts I have read recently.  If I may ask a follow-up question regarding the indexing marks on the cam and the follower?  When cold, my marks do not align.  At running temperature, they are aligned and choke opens between 1/2 and 2/3.  The wax valve extends, but not as far as yours.  (Dang!  Sounds like a porn site!  Sorry about that!)  It starts about 1/8 inch then extends to about 1/4 inch when hot.  I suspect these valves are not available anywhere except older carbs, eh?  Are they serviceable?  Can they be easily changed out with a working one?  Thank you again for a very helpful video!

Got Questions? / ‘82-‘86 Jeep Leaf Springs
Last post by MacPaddy - May 08, 2024, 06:56 PM
New to me Zuke. I can pick up these '82-'86 Jeep Leaf Springs for $200. Will these work for SPOA? Are these much different from new YJ's?  Hoping to just swap them in since I have shackles and ubolts already there in some kind of custom setup. Whats in there now look small and almost inverted.
